About The Position

Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a Machinist to join our growing team. There is a $2 shift differential for all hours worked on the swing shift and $3 for weekend day shift. This position is located on-site in Sedro Woolley, WA. POSITION DESCRIPTION The Machinist performs a variety of duties and utilizes multiple skillsets. Machinists are required to follow detailed drawings and instructions. Set up, operation, and maintenance of CNC and manual mills, lathes, and standard machine shop tools are some of the daily tasks. The following essential job functions are performed as a Machinist Technician: Attention to detail and quality is required Reads and understands blueprints, isometric drawings, and work orders Receives and carries out directions from designated Supervisors and Production Leads Must be able to understand and comply with Safety Practices Identifies and obtains equipment, tools and materials needed to properly perform job function Set up scaffolding and safety barriers under direction Properly executes Hazardous Material Disposal activities Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly, FOD free condition Knowledge and use of common hand tools Accurate use of precision measuring instruments (i.e.: micrometers, calipers, etc.,) and working to exacting tolerances Must understand and comply with Safety and 5S Must understand and comply with AS9100 and Nadcap Practices and Procedures as applicable Works in other Cells to support Production as required, i.e.; Metal Fab or Mill Cell CNC Mill and Manual Mill set up, operation and maintenance CNC Lathe and Manual Lathe set up, operation and maintenance Mill/Lathe Operation, includes Tooling knowledge, Calibrated equipment, machine operation, part loading and clamping, machine maintenance CNC editing on the shop floor

Requirements

Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
High School diploma or GED required, college level or trade school education preferred
2+ years of machining experience required
Must have effective verbal and written communication skills

Benefits

Wage range for this role is between $20 - $45 an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits.
