About The Position

MACHINIST, MAINTENANCE Job Duties and Responsibilities Operate and maintain plasma burn tables, hand grinders, scrapers, and tape measures with proficiency. Perform tasks, including metal material stretching, layout processes, and plate cleaning and de-burring. Read and interpret advanced blueprints and CAD drawings, solving problems as needed. Operate CNC machinery with the ability to download programs via disc, flash drive, or direct connect. Perform cuts and nesting activities as defined by production requirements. Build understanding of machining principles, assisting in operational efficiency and quality improvements. Safely operate overhead cranes and other heavy machinery to move and position materials. Perform daily equipment operational checks and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Ensure adherence to production schedules and deadlines.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; 1+ years of experience
  • Skills: Blueprints, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programming, Machine Tools, Manual Machining, Technical Drawings
  • US Citizenship Required: Yes

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of geometric dimensions, tolerances, and symbols.
  • Strong math skills, including fractions and decimal calculations.
  • Basic knowledge of computer operating systems (Windows OS).
  • Knowledge of construction processes and/or heavy equipment operations is a plus.
  • Proven understanding of foundational and advanced mechanical power systems.
