About The Position
As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining manual machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses to produce precision metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a manual machinist
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong understanding of machining processes
- Familiarity with measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Basic math and computer skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Commitment to workplace safety
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and grinders
- Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Measure and inspect finished parts for accuracy
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Document production activities and part specifications
- Collaborate with engineers and team members
- Assist in training junior machinists
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies
