We are seeking a detail-oriented Machinist to design, build, and maintain the tooling and equipment that supports our production operations. You will fabricate prototypes to prove out designs and provide hands-on technical support to both Engineering and Manufacturing departments.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant machining experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficient math skills and the ability to read technical drawings or diagrammed instructions.
- Interpersonal: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- Welding experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Precision Machining: Machine parts to specifications using lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
- Setup & Operation: Adjust and operate specialized machine tools for precision operations.
- Prototyping: Create and assemble test models to prove manufacturability; suggest design improvements or alternatives.
- Quality Control: Measure and test completed units to ensure conformance to specifications and detect defects.
- Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and solve equipment problems to minimize downtime.
- General Support: Produce accessories and perform other duties as assigned.
