About The Position

The Machinist is responsible for producing high‑precision components that support our performance objectives across all racing programs. This role focuses on expert machining, precise execution of engineering specifications, and delivering parts that meet the highest quality standards. The Machinist works closely with our engineering and fabrication teams to ensure every component contributes to a reliable, competitive, and high‑performing race vehicle.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a machinist; experience in motorsports or high‑performance automotive environments preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or certification in machining or a related discipline preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in CNC machinery and manual machining, including mills, lathes, and grinders.
  • Strong understanding of machining techniques, materials, and tight‑tolerance specifications.
  • Experience reading technical drawings and blueprints; familiarity with G‑code and M‑code programming is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment with a strong commitment to precision and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and related machine tools to produce high‑precision components, including engine parts, suspension elements, and custom fixtures used across our racing programs.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to ensure all parts meet exacting dimensional and quality requirements.
  • Perform detailed inspections of machined components using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify compliance with tolerances.
  • Troubleshoot machining challenges, recommend adjustments, and implement solutions to maintain production schedules and uphold performance standards.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, calibration, and minor repairs on machining equipment to ensure accuracy, reliability, and long-term performance.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, tooling, and consumables; coordinate with procurement to maintain adequate stock and support uninterrupted production.
  • Maintain organized and efficient work areas to support productivity and quality control initiatives.
  • Partner with engineers and fabrication team members to understand design intent, provide manufacturability feedback, and support development of new or refined components.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to align on production priorities, share technical insights, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and operational procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment and proactively report potential hazards or equipment issues.
