PURPOSE: Completes assignments involving the set-up and operation of a wide variety of machines including but not limited to lathes, saws, forklifts. Performs bore turn and basic machining tasks. Provides machining services of oilfield connections; cuts and re-cuts connections to specification.

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Ability to interpret a variety of oral and written instructions
• Ability to communicate across various levels of organization
• Ability to work safely in a shop / warehouse environment

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CNC machines
• Previous oilfield experience
• Current relevant HSE training and certifications
• Loader and Forklift certifications
• Ability to perform general machine maintenance

Responsibilities

• Works from blueprints, rough sketches, production diagrams, drawings and verbal instructions to fabricate a variety of complex machined components.
• Fabricates and modifies tools and equipment.
• Measures, examines, and tests completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Cleans, lubricates, and maintains machines, tools, and equipment to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matter
• Installs repaired parts into equipment and operate equipment to verify operational efficiency.
• Assists other machinists when necessary.
