Summary: Program, set up and run CNC Machining Centers to produce the most complex proven or new parts with little supervision. Assist in the development of new processes. Participate as a contributing member in a team-oriented setting.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-6 years in a manufactring environment with CNC experience
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate various types of CNC machines, perform progressive machining operations to create the product
- Write and qualify CNC programs that produce parts conforming to print requirements
- Meet quality and schedule requirements
- Monitor tool life and replace cutting tools as needed
- Work effectively with little supervision
- Troubleshoot programming and in-process production issues
- Perform CNC setups for other production personnel to run
- Run prototype or complex parts as needed
- Provide written operational feedback for both new and repeating jobs to aid in process improvement efforts
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures
- Provide technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to operators and lower level machinists as required
