Machinist I Purpose: The role of a Machinist I is to operate a wide variety of machinery to fabricate new machine components/mechanical dispositive and to repair broken mechanical parts. A key function is to provide support for producing raw parts used by production, as well as making modifications to products requested by customers. This is a 1st shift position. Key Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist Machining team with essential maintenance, repair and upkeep of operational machines (CNC mills, Manual Mills, Lathes, and others) • Utilize drawings, blueprints or rough sketches to create parts, fixtures and other mechanical devices to aid production process • Assist engineers in resolving problems, completing work assignments. • Ensure that all machinery is configured correctly to ensure proper production specifications • Maintain logs, lists, files etc. and complete required paperwork. • Perform other related tasks including but not limited to performing housekeeping tasks, maintains 5S standards, and supports continuous improvement activities as required to keep the work area safe, clean and organized. • Perform other related duties as required by management.
