ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as required. Reads from drawings, sketches, and instructions to determine operational requirements and makes arithmetic calculations to develop forming details. Lays out and marks dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts, or uses templates Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, and routers, to cut, bend, block and form, or straighten materials. Checks work as necessary to assure holding prescribed tolerances.

Requirements

  • Must have High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • 10 years of experience with manual lathes and mills
  • Knowledge of sheet metal operations to fabricate standard or normal company products.
  • Good working knowledge of shop mathematics.
  • Able to measure accurately, relate surfaces, holes, and angles.
  • Able to work with moderate supervision.
  • Adheres to all Company Safety Programs, Rules and Regulations, and Employee Procedural Guidelines.
