About The Position

SUMMARY: To meet quality and delivery metrics through a strong willingness to be trained, a quick ability to learn, and a commitment to developing precision machining expertise.  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Technical Aptitude & Skill Development  Apply foundational math skills, including arithmetic and geometry, to daily machining tasks  Adapt quickly to changing priorities and efficiently manage multiple tasks within machining cells  Support production and research & development (R&D) runs of precision-machined components  Implement newly learned tooling methods and machining strategies to enhance process efficiency and meet production goals  Communication & Learning  Develop and utilize technical vocabulary related to blueprints, CNC machining, and shop operations  Proactively engage with trainers by asking questions and seeking clarification to accelerate skill development  Attitude & Professional Growth  Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn by applying training received from multiple team members across various machining cells  Foster a collaborative, team-oriented approach to achieving operational goals  Identify errors, take accountability, and continuously improve through learning and adjustment  Attendance & Commitment  Complete 40 hours per week of hands-on shop work and on-the-job training (OJT)  Participate in up to 6 hours per week of in-person evening coursework to support technical development  Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Two years prior experience working in a machining facility or vocational training preferred
  • Familiarity with CAD and/or CAM software preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred
