The Machine Shop Lead ensures that all maintenance/support activities and projects are executed in line with best practice & standards adherence, cost measurement and benchmarking, driving improvement in effective and timely project delivery. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL: Help manage and perform preventive maintenance as defined on all production equipment. Provide leadership and management shop crew Maintain accurate equipment repair/modification documentation, and update equipment files. Help maintain and optimize spare parts Help prepare and execute daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for planned work Observes all applicable safety rules and reports unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards to Supervisor. Conduct safety audits, inspection, and help coach employees on safety. Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Two years vocational school degree in Machining Technology
  • 5 years documented machine shop experience and maintenance experience, and knowledge preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Skills in attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Skills with written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs overhead.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading a crew preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
