About The Position

In this role, you will manage technicians, coordinate daily service operations, support customers, and collaborate with Service Managers and Coordinators to deliver exceptional service and productivity. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Business or a Technical discipline
  • Three to four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Strong computer skills and general mechanical service knowledge
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Ability to multitask and coordinate daily technician activity

Responsibilities

  • Lead Technicians: Manage daily technician assignments and ensure timely arrival to customer job sites.
  • Collaborate With HR: Partner with HR representatives to support employee relations, performance, and development initiatives.
  • Support Repair Estimates: Work with Service Coordinators to provide accurate repair time and cost estimates.
  • Review Work Orders: Ensure complete and accurate work orders with all labor and parts captured from technicians’ reports.
  • Develop Technician Skills: Ensure technicians are properly trained and equipped for current and future Caterpillar products.
  • Support Performance Management: Assist or complete technician reviews using the PADS process.
  • Manage Service Vehicles: Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, repairs, and overall appearance.
  • Promote Safety: Uphold a Safety First culture; complete injury reports accurately and promptly.
  • Communicate Proactively: Provide timely follow‑ups with customers regarding repair status and equipment needs.
  • Act as Interim Manager: Fill in for the Service Manager during absences.
  • Use Technology Effectively: Maintain proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
