The Machine Sales Representative is responsible for the business development and ongoing maintenance of heavy equipment customers within assigned sales territory.
Perform daily activities in the sales department to include the following, but not limited to:
Developing and maintaining a solid base of customers for heavy equipment sales
Promoting the sales of all Equipment lines and customer support programs.
Maintaining targeted company profit levels on sales.
Ensuring customers are kept current with manufacturer’s information.
Maintaining high levels of product and service knowledge
Taking positive action to improve quality and customer satisfaction.
Reporting competitive market data.
Frequently visiting customer facilities and job sites to investigate current and future equipment needs.
Continually developing assigned sales territory and increase customer base.
Attend sales training to remain adequately informed of all heavy equipment products and services
Other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or a related field highly desired
2+ years of successful sales experience in heavy machinery or working with related equipment required
High proficiency in customer relationship skills
Possess knowledge of heavy equipment applications
Discretion in handling confidential company information
Positive personality, team player, problem solver, self-starter, outstanding integrity, superior communicator.
Able to travel overnight periodically for product training or company related business
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical
