This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product through the production process and ensuring proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line. The operator monitors and adjusts machine settings as needed, notifying the supervisor if machines require maintenance, all while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Specifically, as a Box Machine Operator, the role involves lifting stacks of flat cartons from a pallet and placing them into box making machines. The operator monitors the equipment to ensure good boxes are produced, makes necessary adjustments, and removes any box jams. If equipment fails, the operator will assist in making boxes by hand until repairs are complete. The position also includes general upkeep of the equipment during the shift, such as keeping it free of debris and glue buildups, and maintaining the box machine room area, along with any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
