About The Position

Job Description Mars FishCare- Chalfont, PA is looking for a Machine Operator in our packaging plant. Training Available! Required Shift: Monday- Thursday 5:30am- 4pm (10 hour shift) Job Purpose: Machine Operators are system experts in their assigned area (packaging), and are highly functional in multiple areas. They operate and change specified machinery while ensuring safety, efficiency, operational conformance, product quality and drive continuous improvement. What are we looking for? Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Mechanical aptitude Basic troubleshooting skills Ability to read, write, speak and understand English Physical Requirements: Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs.) and frequent pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs.) Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, leaning over equipment Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods (minimum 10 hours) Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to support production needs and to conduct multi-task work in a very fast paced work environment Preferred Qualifications: Manufacturing experience Knowledge of food safety, GMP’s, HACCP Operational Experience Packaging and process experience What will be my key responsibilities? Running of packaging/process equipment to complete the conversion process and package finished product prior to shipping in accordance with all routine SOPs and specifications Responsible for loading packaging material, clearing jams, resetting faults, changeovers, quality checks, GMP and reporting issues Complete basic preventative maintenance work orders as assigned (e.g. lubrication, observation, etc) and enter corrective work order requests into the MIS Conformance to all area LOTO and safety procedures, including wearing of PPE and reporting any safety hazards Ad hoc tasks Pay: Starting at $20.29/hr based on experience OT potential Annual bonus pay out Annual merit increases Total Rewards: Medical, vision & dental- Starts day one! Requirements
