About The Position

SUMMARY: Operates a Zund digital cutting machine and F&K Skiver to cut materials into different shapes and sizes per exact specifications, in a timely manner. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Effectively run digital die cutting equipment (ZUND) to produce quality parts per specifications. Read and understand work orders and blueprints. Visually inspect the parts throughout production for completeness, accuracy, and defect to ensure conformity to specifications. Troubleshoot basic machine problems, including the ZUND compressor, and perform preventative maintenance; i.e. change and calibrate blades, check moisture levels in air/oil/water separator, etc. Program preset camera options and manually adjust cameras (brightness, hue, etc.) when a preset is not available. Checks cut materials for non-conformance related issues. Performs set up and adjustments of machine at beginning of each job/production file, as necessary. Maximizes the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed. Adheres to production schedule. Reports any unusual issues to Supervisor such as time variances from estimated to actual. Communicates production status, any mechanical and operational failures, any safety incidents to the Supervisor. Perform end of shift duties such as cleaning, dusting, replenishing inventory, and use efficient housekeeping practices. Maintains accurate inventory of needed supplies including blades, materials or other components and notifies Supervisor of needed items. Maintains a safe, clean working environment. Cross train on other machines as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS: Relatable CNC machine experience, minimum of one year. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Acute attention to detail, commitment to excellence and high standards. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage priorities and workflow and meet deadlines.
