About The Position

Sika is looking for a Machine Operator to join its growing team in the Canton, MA area for our roofing business. The Machine Operator will support a PLC controlled 120 wide tandem flexible PVC extrusion coating line and will report directly to the Production Supervisor. The operation will include set up, operation, breakdown and cleaning of all components, and the development of proper processing parameters during operation to optimize line speeds and yields Safe operation of forklifts to transport materials to workstations. Ensure proper quality review of the product on workstations assigned. Follow all company policies, including environmental policy and notify supervisor of any concern that may affect work area or company property. Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Ability to read and write English
Good verbal communications skills
Understanding of how to use a touch-screen (PLC) production line
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures
Ability and willingness to work overtime if required
Availability and willingness to cover any shift with prior notification

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with plastics, vinyl coating, lamination or printing production highly desirable
