About The Position

We're on the lookout for new talent! Machine Operator 1st Shoreline Container Holland Rate: $20.25 Role Summary: The Machine Operator is responsible for all setup and operation of machines in the designated department. Operators may work with computer-controlled equipment or more mechanically based machines. Schedule: 7:00 am- 3:00 pm Monday through Friday, with overtime scheduled on Saturday, as needed. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Machine operator experience preferred; strong knowledge of machines in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions including reading a tape measure, blueprints, and production schematics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented and self-directed.
  • Dependability

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operation of various machines.
  • Run material through machine according to company specifications.
  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Ensure correct materials are used to meet customer specifications.
  • Ensure all inventory entries are complete and accurate.
  • Inspect and maintain quality of product.
  • Responsible for meeting all quality and efficiency standards.
  • Meet all company safety policies and report any concerns related to required maintenance of machines.
  • Test operation of machines periodically.
  • Special projects as business dictates.
  • Duties may be expanded upon and additional duties may be assigned.
