About The Position

The primary responsibilities of the General Machine operator are to operate a variety of machines in the production process. These machines can include the collator, laminator, punch machine, PMC, magnetic stripe roll-on, sorter machine, hole punch machine and offline coating machine. Responsibilities are primarily general machine operation, basic troubleshooting, and daily maintenance. This position will clean and prepare work area and machine for the next workday or shift at the end of shift.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Machine for start of shift, which includes necessary materials and paperwork.
• Perform duties necessary to operate machine and perform required tasks according to machine or position procedures.
• Complete simple, routine maintenance on machine to keep machine operational.
• Troubleshoot machinery for basic malfunctions and corrections.
• Complete all necessary paperwork required for machine operated on for the position.
• Clean machines at end of shift to prepare for next workday or next shift.
• Clean and stock work area in preparation for next workday or shift.
• Perform these and other duties as assigned by supervisor or other appropriate management personnel.
• Work overtime as needed.
