Machine Operator II - 2nd Shift

Your schedule will be Monday-Friday 3:30 PM – midnight, with overtime on a business need basis. Requirements
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Responsibilities
- Sets up and operates modified textile looms that weave wire and yarn into programmed or straight-run wiring harnesses for military and aerospace applications.
- Run threads through reeds and heddles from creels then over rollers to weave to a pattern.
- Ties on or splices ends to repair breaks in creel.
- Required to inspect for splices in wire coming from the creel to insure they aren’t woven into the cable.
- Stops loom and replaces empty shuttles.
- Starts loom and clips off ends of filler close to selvage. Installs specified spools in creel to change over to the next job or product setup.
- Looms are setup using productions forms for the placement of wire and thread to go along with length and width.
- Will be around mechanical machinery, must be able to do small lifting. Must have a good work ethic, attendance is important.
