About The Position

Del Medical is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to operate and maintain the AMADA LC2515C1AJ Laser/Punch Combo in our precision sheet metal fabrication department. The ideal candidate will have experience working with CNC laser/punch equipment, be committed to safety and quality, and contribute to the production of components used in our state-of-the-art medical imaging systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or technical certification in machining or manufacturing preferred.
• 2+ years of experience operating CNC laser and/or punch press equipment, preferably AMADA machines.
• Familiarity with CNC controls, including AMADA AMNC or similar interfaces.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor the AMADA LC2515C1AJ Laser/Punch Combo machine to process metal parts per production drawings and work orders.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate part fabrication.
• Load and unload sheet metal and finished parts using appropriate material handling techniques.
• Inspect first-run parts and conduct in-process inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Adjust machine settings and perform minor programming edits to maintain part quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot basic issues, and report maintenance needs or malfunctions to the supervisor or maintenance team.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
• Follow all safety procedures, wear appropriate PPE, and actively participate in safety initiatives.
• Accurately complete production and quality documentation as required.
