About The Position

The Laser Operator sets up, operates, and maintains laser cutting equipment to meet daily production requirements. This role also supports material handling, housekeeping, and basic maintenance while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred.
• Forklift operation experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, measure parts with precision tools, and identify fabrication metals.
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills with attention to safety.
• Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and twist regularly.
• Work in a fast-paced industrial environment with required PPE.
• Primarily manufacturing plant environment with occasional exposure to dust, solvents, and varying temperatures.
• Occasional mandatory or voluntary overtime to meet production needs.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start up, operate, and shut down laser equipment.
• Load/unload materials and stage raw materials for production.
• Operate forklifts and move materials between work areas.
• Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of machines and optics to maintain peak performance.
• Report equipment issues promptly and assist with troubleshooting.
• Ensure production schedules and work orders are followed accurately.
• Communicate with other departments and assist team members as needed.
• Maintain attendance and comply with company policies.
