The Machine Assembly Technician I is responsible for a ssembling mechanical units, fabricated parts/components, and/or electrical/electronic systems to make sub-assemblies, assemblies or complete units. This position reports to the Value Stream Leader, Machine Assembly and is part of the Machine Assembly team located in Coralville Iowa and will be an on-site role . This role is anticipated to work a weekday day shift (Monday-Friday, 7:00a-4:00p).

Requirements

  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Install, modify, troubleshoot machinery and equipment according to requisition established documentation
  • Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
  • Ability to travel when needed
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 75lb, any other physical requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Using ERP systems
  • Following SOPS
  • Machine Operating, Process Operations, Product Assembly, and Production Technician roles.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up and operates automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.
  • Follows engineering drawings, work order information, Manufacturing Assembly Procedures, SOPs, and other written and verbal specifications in the manufacturing process.
  • Assembles mechanical units, fabricated parts/components, and/or electrical/electronic systems to make sub-assemblies, assemblies or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and miscellaneous equipment.
