Get to Know Your Team: UT Health East Texas is comprised of 9 hospitals, more than 90 clinics, nearly 7,500 employees and over 1,000 licensed inpatient beds. We provide healthcare services through our hospitals, clinics, Level 1 trauma facility, air emergency fleet and EMS service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Current LVN licensure or higher
  • One to three minimum years of clinical or healthcare experience as a LVN

Responsibilities

  • The LVN Quality Improvement Coordinator will be responsible for identifying quality gaps, risk adjustment gaps and outreach needs for members managed within Medicare advantage plans as well as the UTHET population at large.
  • Individuals within this job classification are accountable for contributing to the assessment, implementation, and documentation of quality activities in accordance with UTHET standards to deliver efficient, effective, and quality patient care.
  • The LVN will be responsible for ordering labs and other screening test from standing delegation orders signed by physicians.
  • LVNs will also triage patients on the phone that are having medical complications or answer medical questions.
  • LVNs will use their clinical judgement and problem solving to help coordinate appropriate care of our patients.
  • LVNs will also work with patients transition from an inpatient or observation stay at a UT Health hospital to home but performing post discharge calls where discharge instructions, medications, and orders will be reviewed and discussed with patients.
