About The Position

LVN Nurse Educator PRIMARY DUTIES: Develop and coordinate nursing orientation and ongoing training for all nursing department staff. Facilitate onboarding and skills validation of new hires across nursing roles (LVN, CMA, CNA). Identify individual or department-wide learning needs and provide remediation or targeted education. Collaborate with leadership to implement evidence-based educational strategies to support clinical and organizational goals. Respond to patient emergencies and provide immediate nursing care until provider arrival, following emergency protocols. Serve as a subject matter resource for vaccination practices and updates. Maintain compliance with patient confidentiality and HIPAA standards. Participate in clinical and operational meetings as assigned. Develop and disseminate educational materials and assist with rollouts of new workflows or policies. Support chart audits, leader rounding, and performance improvement initiatives. Stay up to date on organizational communications, policies, and educational updates. Follow up with Practice Managers to support local training needs and feedback. OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED: Provide direct nursing support as needed across clinics Possess ability for flexible scheduling to include occasional evenings or weekends Foster interdepartmental collaboration and teamwork Other duties as assigned by supervisor QualificationsREPORTS TO: Chief Nursing Officer/Regional Director of Nursing EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Graduation from an accredited LVN/LPN program Current LVN licensure in the state of Texas, BLS certification, Spanish fluency preferred. SKILLS: Strong interpersonal, communication, teaching and organization skills. Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate staff education programs and roll out organizational initiatives. Proficient in electronic health records (EHR), Microsoft Office, and learning management systems. Demonstrates knowledge of scope of practice for LVNs, CMAs, and CNAs. Strong understanding of infection prevention, clinic throughput, and adult learning principles. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Visual and auditory accuracy Shift length - 8 hours Indoor setting Continuous use of computers Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting and climbing Frequent use of telephone usage Continuous repetitive grasping and manipulation of both hands Occasional working in confined and noisy areas Occasional exposure to electrical, chemical, gaseous, and dusty conditions Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50lbs Occasional pushing, pulling and positioning patients up to 200lbs Occasional exposure to patients with communicable diseases Occasional use of personal transportation Occasional travel: must possess a valid driver’s license and appropriate liability insurance Understand/carry out detailed oral/written instructions Read and interpret detailed specifications Able to respond quickly and calmly in medical emergencies

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited LVN/LPN program
  • Current LVN licensure in the state of Texas, BLS certification
