Requirements

• LPN/LVN must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current practical or vocational nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing
• Must complete specialized training in infection prevention and control
• A minimum of three years full-time or equivalent nursing experience is required
• Must be able to work flexible hours in order to meet with employees working evening and night shifts

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of two years of nursing experience in long-term care nursing with one year in a management/administrative or supervisory capacity is preferred
• Previous experience in infection prevention and control is preferred

Responsibilities

• Responsible for one or multiple centers Infection Prevention and Control Program under the direction of a RN
• Function as a practitioner, resource, consultant, educator and facilitator for all staff focusing on Infection Prevention - Control Activities, Outbreak Management, Employee Health and Outcome - Process Surveillance
• Identify, investigate, analyze, control and report infections
