MCS is hiring for Low Voltage Cable Technicians in POLK County, FL. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits. - Apprentice Level/Helper (some construction experience) - Technician Level/Experienced - LEAD Technician The Low Voltage Cable Technician must demonstrate their adaptability by being able to install multiple types of devices. Reading prints and following the directions and assignments given to them by the Site Superintendent/PM. The Low Voltage Cable Technician will require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. It is important that candidates keep abreast of industry trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations. Typical duties include: Installing, but not limited to Card readers, door contacts, motion Rex, Intercoms, Motion Detectors, Glass Breaks, Speakers, Nurse Call lights, Push Buttons, and Patient Stations. Installing and terminating all Low Voltage cabling. Terminating, testing, and labeling end-user devices. Comm room build-out. Utilizing industry standards and company-approved installation methods and techniques. Ensuring all work complies with applicable AHJ codes and industry standards. Ensuring plans, specs, and wiring diagrams are adhered to. Maintaining open communication with direct superior ensuring that work quality, performance, and materials meet required schedules and expectations. Following and maintaining proper safety practices
