About The Position

Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School seeks a qualified Long-Term Substitute Latin teacher to cover a leave of absence starting March 23, 2026 and ending, on or about, June 17, 2026.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred from an accredited college or university
• Licensed, or eligible for licensure in Latin and Classical Humanities 5-12 by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education

Nice To Haves

• 3 + years educational teaching environment preferred
• High School teaching experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the LS community
• Plans lessons that meet the individual needs, interests and abilities of the students
• Creates a classroom environment that is inclusive and productive, and maintains appropriate standards of classroom behavior
• Provides timely and appropriate feedback to students, with progress reports as needed
• Communicates with parents to discuss student progress
• Pursues professional growth through activities in and out of school
• Cooperates with other professional staff in supporting student learning
• All other duties as assigned
