Latin Teacher - Long Term Substitute
About The Position
Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School seeks a qualified Long-Term Substitute Latin teacher to cover a leave of absence starting March 23, 2026 and ending, on or about, June 17, 2026. Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to): Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the LS community Plans lessons that meet the individual needs, interests and abilities of the students Creates a classroom environment that is inclusive and productive, and maintains appropriate standards of classroom behavior Provides timely and appropriate feedback to students, with progress reports as needed Communicates with parents to discuss student progress Pursues professional growth through activities in and out of school Cooperates with other professional staff in supporting student learning All other duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred from an accredited college or university Licensed, or eligible for licensure in Latin and Classical Humanities 5-12 by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education Experience Preferred: 3 + years educational teaching environment preferred High School teaching experience preferred Salary Range: Unlicensed candidate: $125/day (1-90 days) Licensed candidate: $125/day (1-30 days) Licensed candidate: $312.19/day - $734.44/day (30+ days) Based on degree and licensed teaching experience Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School is committed to maintaining a work and learning environment free from discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, pregnancy, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital/civil union status, ancestry, place of birth, age, citizenship status, veteran status, political affiliation, genetic information or disability, as defined and required by state and federal laws. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Licensed, or eligible for licensure in Latin and Classical Humanities 5-12 by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree preferred from an accredited college or university
