About The Position

Arcosa Lightweight is searching for a Logistics Supply Chain Support at our Streetman, TX plant. In this role you will support a positive safety culture by supporting the activities and staff within a 24/7 aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. A Logistics Supply Chain Support is responsible for material planning, procurement and inventory management within the supply chain operations of the Company. Successful candidates for this position have a sharp eye for detail, possess strategic thinking capabilities, conduct data analysis and demonstrate an understanding of supply chain processes and best practices. To succeed in this role, you should be professional, highly analytical and possess excellent communication skills. The successful candidate should also have in-depth knowledge and experience forecasting, material planning, sourcing, negotiations, contracts, cost analysis, cost savings and supplier relationships. Arcosa Lightweight is a leading producer and distributor in the Western and Southwestern U.S. of lightweight and natural, aggregates, including expanded shale and clay, crushed stone, sand and gravel, asphalt rock, and other products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business or other applicable majors or 3+ years’ experience purchasing, material planning, supply chain or similar role.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Negotiating skills with suppliers.
  • Strong analytical and the ability to interpret data to drive informed decision making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving/judgement skills with the ability to find creative solutions.
  • Ability to multitask in a demanding environment.
  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Aggregate experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations
  • Balance supply with demand for all commodities; analyze inventory levels to support production and sales forecast.
  • Analyze historical sales data, market trends and growth projections to forecast future product demand.
  • Ensure proper material and goods inventory levels meet production requirements based on daily and forecasted sales.
  • Identify and resolve material shortages or discrepancies.
  • Research suppliers, monitoring market trends, supply chain disruptions and industry developments to anticipate changes in pricing, availability and supplier relationships.
  • Analyzing purchasing data, trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Conducting request for Quotes, negotiating, drafting and managing annual or long-term supplier agreements, including terms and conditions, pay terms and best total price.
  • Conduct supplier quarterly business reviews and track vendor performance (on-time delivery, quality, price competitiveness)
  • Resolve supply chain issues, such as shortages or delivery delays, by coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, policies and procedures governing procurement activities.
