About The Position

The Logistics/3TL Supervisor is the point of contact for all day-to-day functions within the 3TL Driver Team and will work closely with our existing Purchasing/Operation Teams. This position will be critical to the daily success of the 3TL service offering which supports: 1) Line haul of our inbound inventory from our local suppliers 2) Contracted lanes of inbound inventory for some of our largest mission-critical suppliers and 3) Transfers and auto-trans loads from our facilities.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external customers
  • Excellent analytical and attention to detail skills
  • Ability to handle multiple and tight deadlines
  • Effective coaching and leadership development skills
  • Working knowledge of Fleet Management
  • Passion for learning and servicing
  • Lift/ carry 50 pounds
  • Must be able to drive and operate a vehicle with a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) required
  • Maintain a valid driver license with acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum three (3) years previous driving experience
  • Supervisory experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of Line Haul Drivers to ensure all line haul procedures are executed to Company standards
  • Participate with the 3TL Corporate team members in weekly meetings with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Manage all personnel issues working closely with our operation leaders including training, evaluating, disciplining, and following up on driving team concerns
  • Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate department staff
  • Ensure that all safety and compliance policies and procedures are followed
  • Respond to all customer related issues in a timely manner to ensure positive relationships with customers
  • Continually look at our demand model and develop efficient lanes in the spirit of continuous improvement
  • Develop and maintain positive, cooperative, and team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers, suppliers, and our customer base
  • Maintain Columbia's fleet management tool, Maintenance Connection, for all relevant equipment
  • Adhere to all state liquor laws and regulations
  • Complete all other tasks or projects as assigned
