About The Position

The Senior Delivery Supervisor backs up the Delivery Director and is the point of contact for all day-to-day functions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) required

  • Use of industry tools: hand truck, six wheeler, manual pallet jack, box cutter
  • Driving required
  • Ability to travel throughout the day for visits to customer accounts

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum three (3) years previous driving experience
  • Minimum five (5) years supervisory experience
  • Two (2) years Delivery or Fleet Management experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong working knowledge of FMSCA/DOT/OSHA regulations
  • Working knowledge of Fleet Management and Warehouse Management Systems
  • Effective project management skills, including the ability to interpret data and design processes and/or work flow
  • Knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreements and experience supervising within one (for Washington only)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of Delivery Drivers to ensure delivery procedures are executed to Company standards
  • Demonstrate a desire to learn and willingly accept stretch projects
  • Assist the Delivery Director in budget planning and monthly expense reconciliation
  • Manage all personnel issues including training, evaluating, disciplining and following up on driving team concerns
  • Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate department staff
  • Ensure that all safety and compliance policies and procedures are followed
  • Ensure proper handling of all invoices and money for assigned team
  • Respond to all customer related issues in a timely manner to ensure positive relationships with customers
  • Work with routing team and Drivers to continually optimize the efficiencies of local routes
  • Develop and maintain positive, cooperative and team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers and others you come into contact with throughout your job
  • Adhere to all state liquor laws and regulations
  • Complete all other tasks or projects as assigned
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with those of the Company's Core Values at all times
