About The Position

FIC America Corp. is a global Tier 1 automotive components manufacturer centrally located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. We are actively seeking a Logistics Supervisor Warehouse to oversee the 2nd shift at our Bloomingdale location. Job Description Review and assign daily work to employees and make changes when necessary or as schedules change to meet objectives Train and develop team members and team leaders to promote growth, advancement and to meet company needs Ensure accurate and timely shipments to our customers and order fulfillment Follow and enforce all company policies and procedures to meet objectives in safety, quality and efficiencies Effectively communicate and maintain a productive working relationship with team leaders, team members and colleagues Identify and report any hazards or potential hazards to EHS dept. Identify potential areas of improvement to Management Other Job Functions Comply with FIC’s Safety policies and procedures Comply with TS 16949 and ISO 14001 procedures and standards Perform 5-S activities Professionalism Requirements Develop and maintain productive work relationships with Managers, other Supervisors, and Team Leaders to coordinate operations and activities Create a positive work environment and contribute to the morale of the team. Requirements

  • Sit-down forklift and pallet jack experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role within shipping/warehouse operations
  • Strong understanding of planning, shipping, warehouse management and inventory systems
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Must have proficient oral and written communication skills
  • Must be willing to cross-train
  • Must be able to work company’s required overtime
  • Must comply with FIC’s Attendance and Punctuality Policy

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in Automotive industry is preferred
  • Knowledge of Lean or TPS practices is preferred
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred
