If you are driven to create a better, more sustainable future, then this is the right place for you. We are currently hiring an Outbound Finished Vehicle Logistics Supervisor for the 2nd shift. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of outbound finished vehicle shipping execution during the assigned shift. The Supervisor will manage logistics operations, ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • 3 years of experience in supervisory role / leadership
  • 2 years of experience in automotive finished vehicles
  • Strong understanding of the automotive environment, including vehicle manufacturing and logistics.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and resolving operational issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel skills preferred), logistics software (TMS), ERP systems (SAP), and manufacturing systems (MES).
  • Flexibility to support any shift including day, night and swing shifts, as needed.
  • Weekend and holiday work may be required.
  • Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for 8–12 hours per shift on hard surfaces in a production environment.
  • Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands for handling tools, assembling components, and operating machinery. Requires fine motor skills and grip strength.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing 10–50 lbs. regularly; occasional lifting up to 75 lbs. with assistance.
  • Reaching and Bending: Routine reaching above shoulders, bending, and twisting waist, and squatting as part of process and tasks.
  • Repetitive Motions: Continuous arm, hand, and wrist movements for tasks such as fastening, positioning, and installing.
  • Climbing: Occasional use of steps to access different height level areas.
  • PPE Expectations: Must wear required PPE (safety shoes, gloves, protective sleeves, eye and hearing protection) as per company safety standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Supply Chain, Logistics Engineering, or related field. However, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered

Responsibilities

  • Oversee outbound finished vehicle processing and yard management.
  • Utilize available resources to solve operational challenges effectively.
  • Ensure vehicles received from the plant meet established quality specifications and standards.
  • Manage labor resources for finished vehicle processing efficiently.
  • Direct teams responsible for delivering services to customers.
  • Develop, implement, and refine logistics processes and systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve logistics operations, including vehicle handling and maintenance.
  • Assess operational processes and staffing needs to support logistics requirements.
  • Investigate incidents and implement preventive measures to reduce risks.
  • Recruit and develop logistics professionals to support operations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Manufacturing, Sales, Quality, Field Service) to meet requirements.
  • Work across departments to integrate logistics with business systems and processes.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Conduct safety training sessions and regular safety audits.
