The Outbound Logistics Coordinator examines, updates, and publishes delivery routing for all customer deliveries and inter-warehouse transfers while assisting peers in confirming shipment routing through a variety of software and company and outside assets to achieve increasing service levels, asset utilization, and cost-efficiency.

Requirements

• Uphold Jaeckle Core values and ensure all personnel adhere to company core values, operational standards, and compliance requirements.
• Communicate promptly and effectively with customer service, warehouse staff, and other departments (sales, purchasing, transportation) using various methods (in-person, telephone, email, software tools) to ensure smooth workflow.
• Work with Operations stakeholders including Freight and Logistics Manager, Warehouse Managers, Supervisors, Leads, Receiving Personnel, Customer Service, and Procurement to achieve daily goals.
• Review, triage, and update all order line items labels from the Madison and satellite locations to ensure most direct, cost-effective delivery routing that meets customer requirements.
• Assist in proactively resolving overflows, routing changes, and associated system entries.
• Provide feedback to Freight & Logistics Manager regarding changes in the relative utilization levels of Jaeckle trucks, partner freight, and other freight vendors.
• Organize inter-warehouse transfers by customer delivery while identifying and re-routing opportunities to ship directly to the customer.
• Support routing updates of special and expedited orders, ensuring rapid processing, accurate documentation, and clear communication with internal teams regarding urgent shipments.
• Assist as needed in providing and documenting freight quotes, tracking information, Jaeckle and freight partner communications, and customer follow-up for potential and completed shipments, deliveries, and occasional returns and pick-ups.
• Assist as needed in creating daily truck driver routes using company provided software, the company delivery schedule, and driver feedback to create an accomplishable daily run.
• Assist as needed in creating, filing, and sending electronic data interchange (EDI) files to freight partners using company standard operating procedures (SOPs) and the company delivery schedule.
• Be able as needed to provide bills of lading (BOLs) and packing lists from company provided software for Jaeckle deliveries, freight partner deliveries, and other deliveries including parcel shipments.
• Assist as needed to create and book full truckload (FTL), less-than-truckload (LTL), and other shipments using company provided software, company SOPs, and best practices from experienced staff members to achieve cost-efficient, responsive deliveries.
• Assist in ensuring customer relevant communication makes it to the right departments with regard to freight issues and claims.
• Serve as a resource for supporting and adjusting truck route input, delivery schedule adjustments, staging, and picking management.
• Other periodic duties as assigned by management including providing temporary coverage for other employees as needed.
