PRIMARY SUMMARY: Analyzing customer inventory levels and assisting customers with pricing, lead-time and follow-up leads. The Logistics Ops Coordinator I acts as liaison between the customer and LISI Aerospace.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university
  • 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferably in the aerospace fastener industry.
  • Previous work experience in any of the following; supply chain, logistics operations, customer service, inside sales.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; Database systems; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and apply concepts of business math. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must provide proof of US person, under ITAR restrictions

Responsibilities

  • Manages customer relationships handles complaints, resolves customer issues, and communicates significant customer needs and issues to management.
  • Oversees closure on customer issues by coordinating and following up on actions from various departments.
  • Manages and coordinates customer rejections with the responsible department to ensure rapid turnaround time for replacement parts or account credit.
  • Manages the Min-Max programs for assigned customers.
  • Conducts analysis of customers’ orders and inventory requirements.
  • Produces inventory status reports.
  • Provide customer with ship information as required, including waybill numbers, quantities, as well as receipt dates.
  • Works closely with customer service representatives and maintains open communication and manages delivery expectations by communicating status on open purchase orders.
  • Coordinates follow-up of ship dates or shipment information with Production Planners.
  • Ensures that proper and timely charges and adjustments to customer inventory levels are made to maintain accurate internal priorities in the Logistics departments.
  • Organizes the processing of customer purchase orders received via telephone, fax, mail, or Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
  • Responsible for verifying the lead time, validating orders, and clauses of incoming purchase orders.
  • Coordinates critical order requirements with the Planning Department.
  • Is a back-up to the Logistics Ops Coordinator position.
  • Attends all required job related training (internal and external).
  • All employees are responsible for complying with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government, LISI Aerospace, and HSE Procedures.
  • All employees are responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements, and safe operating procedures at all times.
  • All employees are required to bring any known or suspected nonconformance for all company procedures or legal requirements to management’s attention immediately.
  • Continually seek opportunities to improve our HSE performance by establishing objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting our results.
