About The Position

The Logistics Merchandiser plays a critical role in coordinating transportation activities between customers, carriers, and the merchandising team. This position is responsible for dispatching loads, managing carrier relationships, evaluating route profitability, and ensuring efficient, cost-effective freight movement while maintaining high service standards for customers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the sales team to align customer schedules and transportation needs
• Dispatch loads to carriers in accordance with customer timelines
• Serve as a primary contact for customers and carriers regarding logistics questions
• Build and maintain strong carrier relationships to optimize performance and capacity
• Negotiate freight rates to minimize costs for clients
• Evaluate route profitability and identify improvements opportunities
• Support efficient, timely, and accurate execution of freight movement
