  • Minimum Educational Requirements Bachelor degree preferred, or a combination of education and relevant industry experience

Nice To Haves

  • Job-related certifications or education, is a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience in Warehouse and Shipping
  • Able to analyze and problem solve
  • Leadership skills, is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage Shipping and Receiving staff in executing inbound and outbound freight deliveries and shipments on 3 shifts, including general supervision, scheduling, and conducting performance evaluations
  • Schedule and manage all transportation carriers and freight forwarders, including delivery appointments and document preparation
  • Coordinate truck driver runs in the most cost & time efficient manner possible
  • Enhance the work flow to enable shipment increases per month
  • Inventory management - complete cycle counting and full inventory on finished goods
  • Ensure positive interactions with Customer Service, Sales, Production, and Accounting.
  • Ensure constant communication with customers for orders status, delivery notification, and invoicing
  • Conduct weekly Production/Safety meetings with team
  • Enforce corrective action procedures when applicable and conduct meetings with the violating employees
  • Keep upper management informed of problems or situations that may affect the performance of the department
  • Recommend process improvements, where applicable
  • Other responsibilities assigned as business demands
