About The Position

The Logistics Manager will manage 3PL relationship handling all inbound, outbound and inventory operations for kitting components and free trade zone (FTZ) products moving to LATAM. They will partner with Manager, LATAM Transportation to ensure alignment on inbound/outbound planning and ensure accurate and timely preparation of outbound shipments. The anticipated salary for this position is $110k annually. The actual compensation offered may vary based on job related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent
  • 5-10 years experience in managing Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain
  • Familiarity with bonded warehouse operations and FTZs.
  • Experience managing shipments of medical or healthcare products.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in international logistics, with a strong focus on containerized freight and medical/pharmaceutical goods.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end shipping operations in Central America, particularly Honduras.
  • Deep understanding of U.S. import regulations, including FDA, CBP, and USDA requirements for medical goods.
  • Familiarity with Honduran export procedures, customs clearance, and local logistics infrastructure.
  • Strong command of Incoterms, HS codes, and international trade documentation.
  • Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and transportation management systems (TMS).
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across borders, including freight forwarders, customs brokers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Strong analytical skills for route optimization, cost control, and performance tracking.
  • Excellent problem-solving and crisis management capabilities in high-pressure logistics environments.
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong project management skills with experience using tools like MS Project, Smartsheet, or Asana.
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed.
  • On-site in a Distribution Center
  • Ability to travel ~25% to Distribution Centers, Corporate Offices and Plants.

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Spanish proficiency highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices in international shipping and packaging of medical goods.

Responsibilities

  • Warehouse Operations Manage 3PL relationship handling all inbound, outbound and inventory operations for kitting components and free trade zone (FTZ) products moving to LATAM Partner with Manager, LATAM Transportation to ensure alignment on inbound/outbound planning Ensure accurate and timely preparation of outbound shipments.
  • Compliance & Documentation Ensure compliance with country regulations and customer expectations for outbound loading. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trade regulations, tariffs, and free trade agreements (e.g., CAFTA-DR). Manage and audit documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Distribution Center Coordination Collaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to align shipping schedules with order fulfillment. Optimize container loading plans and warehouse staging for exports. Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and handling of goods for international transit.
  • Vendor & Carrier Management Negotiate rates and service agreements with ocean carriers and logistics providers. Evaluate carrier performance and resolve service issues proactively. Maintain strong working relationships with LATAM partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement Track KPIs such as on-time delivery, freight cost per unit, and customs clearance times. Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs and improve service levels. Provide regular updates to leadership on shipment status, risks, and opportunities.
