POSITION SUMMARY Effectively performs all necessary duties of various Logistics positions at a high level to meet Logistics department needs and the needs of our clients. Positions covered may include any or all of the following: Courier, Messenger, Multi-route Courier, Messenger, Shipping and Receiving Clerk and Dispatcher. In the absence of the supervisor, provides daily operational oversight for the shift. Provides technical and/or procedural support to all positions within the department. May be responsible for a technical and/or administrative area of focus.

Requirements

• 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience working in Logistics positions.
• Valid state driver’s license and the ability to work a flexible work schedule.
• Demonstrated coaching and leadership skills.
• Ability to operate company vehicle and apply the Smith Driving principles.
• Familiarity with all routes.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills both on the phone and in person.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of and ability to operate a personal computer.
• Strong training, coaching and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

• Additional related education and/or experience including knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
