To learn more, visit: http://www.ajclogistics.com Job Summary: AJC Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Logistics Intern to join our team in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This internship provides hands-on exposure to logistics, ocean freight operations, and customer account management within our Eagle Logistics Systems division. The intern will support day-to-day operations while learning core logistics processes, including booking coordination, and customer communication. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, gain real-world supply chain experience, and contribute to live customer accounts.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field
- Candidates are required to read, write, and speak English & Spanish fluently.
Nice To Haves
- Prior internship or coursework in logistics, transportation, or operations is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Support customer service efforts by assisting with communication and relationship management for assigned accounts
- Help manage customer inquiries and ensure timely follow-up
- Assist in creating and maintaining shipment files (bookings, container specifications, sail dates, pre-billing etc.)
- Coordinate booking requests with steamship lines under supervision
- Support appointment scheduling and reporting
- Assist in shipment updates to customers
- Help monitor and report discrepancies (damage, shortages, overages)
- Support documentation processes, including bills of lading
- Track sailing schedules and assist with system updates and customer notifications
- Participate in service issue investigations and support resolution efforts
