About The Position

Position Summary: The Logistics Customer Service Specialist provides critical support to Mevion's Field Service Team by coordinating logistics activities that connect the factory warehouse with remote field operations. This role ensures that service engineers and field teams receive the right tools, parts, and materials on time and in proper condition. Operating at the intersection of customer service and logistics, the Logistics Customer Service Specialist manages service-related inventory, processes shipments and returns, and serves as the primary logistics contact for Field Service Engineering. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance hands-on warehouse activities with responsive communication and coordination.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or customer service, preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and standard logistics documentation required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams, external carriers, and customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance hands-on warehouse activities with customer-facing support.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Must be able to sit/stand for long periods of time.
  • Required use of standard office equipment including laptop, phone, copier, etc.
  • Must be able to safely navigate factory and warehouse environments.
  • May be involved in rigging operations and heavy equipment handling.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces or areas requiring use of a harness.
  • Ability to lift 25-pound boxes to a height of 3-4 feet.
  • Ability to push & pull heavy pallets with a hand truck.
  • Able to reach, bend, and move safely in warehouse settings.

  • Experience with inventory management, cycle counts, and tooling control preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate tooling requirements, including shipment scheduling, returns, and maintenance of service tool kits.
  • Manage site-to-site transfers of parts, tools, and equipment between factory, field sites, and customer locations.
  • Process and monitor drop-shipments directly to service sites, ensuring ERP accuracy and timely confirmation.
  • Act as the primary logistics liaison for the Service Engineering Team, resolving logistics-related issues quickly and effectively.
  • Maintain ERP system configuration and ensure accurate tracking of tooling, consumables, and service parts.
  • Monitor and manage service-related inventory, supporting field service needs and customer uptime requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with warehouse staff to stage and prepare service orders, ensuring packaging and labeling meet regulatory and internal standards.
  • Provide remote support to field engineers, including shipment tracking, order status updates, and troubleshooting delivery issues.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of logistics procedures that support service operations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase service logistics efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize delays.
  • Train and support junior staff on service-related logistics processes and ERP transactions.
  • Perform other duties as necessary to meet Mevion's goals.
