Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 2 + years of previous experience in an administrative, warehouse or inventory control environment
  • Strong computer skill
  • Data entry accuracy required.
  • Previous experience using automated inventory computerized systems
  • Must be able to prioritize workload and work on simultaneous tasks.
  • Must be able to work independently, and within a team environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or bachelor's degree
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical products, material flow, or transportation modes
  • Experience using Microsoft Office software (i.e. Word and Excel).
  • SAP experience

Responsibilities

  • Receive and coordinate export purchase order demands both manually and via SAP.
  • Manage SAP sales order process by order follow-up & customer communication.
  • Comply with Distribution Agreement stipulations for 3rd party International Customers
  • Route and arrange all transportation including mode, freight forwarder/carrier selection, schedule ship date, freight booking and equipment scheduling.
  • Coordinate Export shipments (i.e. responsible for requesting classification of materials, proper customs documentation and using appropriate carriers to ensure compliance with NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) and Export Administration Regulations.
  • Maintain close working relationship with Division Export Compliance Officer and designees to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct and document all export compliance screen steps on each shipment per US Export Regulations. This includes Denied Parties, Embargoed Countries, Drug Enforcement Administration, BIS Licensing/International Trade in Arms screen, Enhanced Proliferation Control Initiative questionnaire, Anti-boycott, and Red Flag screens.
  • Complete all transportation instructions and export documentation (commercial and Proforma invoices, Bill of Lading, Packing List, and Shippers Letter of Instruction) using word, excel, and complete all SAP transactions associated with said shipments.
  • Determine appropriate mode of transportation for all other non-finished goods shipments, i.e. temperature-controlled products, secured shipments, expedited shipments, air shipments, overnight deliveries, and full truckloads.
  • Maintain shipment files and knowledge base through appropriate Export Compliance Training to be able to produce shipment documentation during an internal or external compliance audit including compliance with boycott activity, EPCI questionnaires, and export controls.
  • Maintain appropriate DOT, IATA, and IMDG training to complete all requirements for hazmat shipments.
  • Maintain the SAP inventory system and software in the warehouse to ensure output accuracy, i.e. billing, inventory, and picking. Investigate SAP discrepancies in inventory and maintain Warehouse master data fields.
  • Maintain pallet pattern files and create new pallet patterns using TOPPS software for any new shipper or FG sku.
  • Coordinate dock delivery appointments with vendors and freight carriers for Myerstown site. Verify appointment request with purchase order and due date information. Notify appropriate internal personnel when discrepancies occur. Maintain delivery data in automated data base system
  • Coordinate all material movements to/from off-site storage.
  • Freight claims. Provide all necessary information to the Bayer designate to initiate the claims process. Record related information on the Share Point website for visibility by all required departments.
  • Work heavily with the SCM Team to ensure production needs are met through timely deliveries, communicating delays, and maintaining flow of material between buildings and outside warehouses.
  • Perform tasks associated with cycle counting.
  • Oversight of MRO process and troubleshooting issues.
  • Purchase and maintain inventory of the Warehouse office supplies, safety equipment and operating supplies (i.e. slips sheets, wrap, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain processes, recommend and implement process improvements in operations and the business operating systems including the SharePoint shipping order database
  • Communicate appropriate information to external, as well as internal customers in a professional manner.
  • Provide customer service responsibilities such as communication, expediting, tracing, proof of delivery, and problem solving, etc.
