The Coordinator is organized and adept at problem solving. A solid understanding of logistical operations is important for success.

Requirements

Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
Knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Ensure safety practices and procedures are adhered to at all times
Maintain compliance with all DOT regulations for branch’s fleet and CDL drivers
Manage all CDL drivers and yard personnel; coordinate and plan transportation, shipping and delivery schedules for on-going projects
Collaborate with suppliers, carriers and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective logistical operations
Oversee branch shipping and receiving practices
Enforce company policies and procedures with regard to logistics, inventory and fleet management
Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies
Provide timely updates on shipment status to stakeholders
Address inquiries and concerns from customers and branches
Implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement
Identify opportunities for cost savings in transportation and logistics operations
Ensure necessary shipping documents and permits are precured when required
