About The Position

CEC has experienced significant recent growth and has established itself as the go-to supplier for a diversified product line supporting a wide spectrum of markets from commercial products, military customers, to space research laboratories. The Logistics Coordinator will coordinate transportation, warehousing, and inventory, working with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to optimize the logistics process.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, or manufacturing environment
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive the company van or a box truck for pick-ups and deliveries
  • Experience operating forklift
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of logistics processes, transportation modes, and warehousing operations
  • Detail-oriented and accurate in managing orders and shipping documents
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and safety standards

Nice To Haves

  • DCAA government audit experience a plus
  • Experience with international shipping preferred
  • Ability to obtain DOD Secret clearance

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy of orders, preparing shipping documents, and processing shipments
  • Work with transportation providers to arrange shipments, manage transportation costs, and optimize routes
  • Facilitate communication between different departments, including production, sales, and distribution, to ensure smooth workflow
  • Address issues related to shipments, delivery delays, or inventory shortages
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations related to transportation and warehousing
  • Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct
