About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Logistics Coordinator in Springfield, VA. You have excellent communication, time management, and detail-oriented skills, which you’ll put to use overseeing and managing multiple projects for nearly 250 sites worldwide. You will connect with our customers and team members domestically and overseas via email or Microsoft Teams to provide logistics information, share shipping and project status updates. Your excellent customer service and communication skills will come in handy when briefing the customer and stakeholders on the status of their orders and projects you manage. Additionally, your attention to detail and time management will be vital for ensuring project timelines are met and on track. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Deployment/Logistics Coordinator or an Administrative Assistant
  • Working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines
  • Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines
  • Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with different locations and people to process shipments through the approved flows.
  • Perform duties in order to expedite the flow of material and parts.
  • Ensures supplies and inventory are ordered, received, replenished, and kept at appropriate levels.
  • Participates in new and standard part number creation.
  • Monitors inventory levels to ensure consistency with forecasted demand and inventory goals for common stock items.
  • Participates in the disposition of non-conforming material.
  • Arranges for reservation and transfer of materials to meet production schedules.
