Logistics Coordinator
About The Position
Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a manufacturer in the Westfield, IN area who is seeking a logistics coordinator who will oversee the movement of materials and finished goods between suppliers, the facility, and customer sites to ensure smooth operations. This role monitors supplier performance, manages inventory receipts and shipments, and tracks warehouse productivity to support production targets and overall operational objectives. In collaboration with Production, Quality, and Operations teams, this position promotes continuous improvement in logistics processes while upholding safety and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in logistics coordination, shipping, warehousing, or supply chain operations.
- Reach Truck experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/MRP or logistics software.
Responsibilities
- Examine and record customer complaints related to outbound shipment quality or delivery issues.
- Partner with Quality and Production teams to develop and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Review logistics and quality performance trends to identify root causes and propose process enhancements.
- Manage outbound shipments to customer locations, ensuring on-time delivery, complete and accurate documentation, and adherence to company standards.
- Maintain and track shipping records, logs, and performance metrics to evaluate and improve performance.
- Work closely with carriers, freight partners, buyers, and planners to enhance logistics efficiency, minimize inventory levels, and ensure uninterrupted supply.
