About The Position

As the Logistics Coordinator, you will own the day-to-day coordination of transportation and logistics operations to keep product moving smoothly across Deep Indian Kitchen’s supply chain network. This role partners closely with internal teams and external logistics providers to keep shipments on schedule, resolve issues quickly, and ensure logistics data and invoicing are managed accurately—helping strengthen and improve end-to-end logistics operations.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree required, preferably in supply chain management, logistics, business, or related fields
  • 2-3 years of experience in Logistics/Supply Chain Operations
  • Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles and best practices
  • Understanding of the Broker/Carrier Spot market and transportation industry regulations
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Google and Microsoft Office suites (Excel experience required)
  • Proficient with Transportation/Warehouse Management and ERP Systems (Legacy System experience a plus)
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Restless dissatisfaction with the status quo and a desire to network and research to help find new solutions or learn best practices

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in CPG, preferably with Refrigerated/Frozen food, and emerging brand experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and manage all inbound and outbound shipments across the logistics network.
  • Track and monitor shipments, troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day transportation and service issues.
  • Manage document control processes for transportation, including Proof of Delivery (POD) and Bill of Lading (BOL).
  • Maintain accurate logistics data across multiple systems and internal tracking tools.
  • Manage relationships with carriers, 3PLs, receivers, and internal warehouse teams.
  • Collaborate with logistics partners to monitor performance, negotiate spot rates, and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
  • Serve as the primary communicator for shipment status, delays, and issues to internal teams and external partners.
  • Maintain accurate logistics data across multiple systems and internal tracking tools.
  • Audit, process, and approve carrier and 3PL invoices, investigating and resolving all billing discrepancies and service failures.
  • Support the tracking and reporting of logistics Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve transportation efficiency, optimize cost control, and enhance service levels.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and act as the subject matter expert in logistical requirements to drive internal excellence.
