The Logistics Assistant is responsible for inputting shipment details for logistics tracking and inventory management. This role involves comprehensive supply chain management, beginning with ensuring compliance with product labeling and documentation requirements for government regulations and customer specifications. Key duties include coordinating delivery schedules with customers and freight carriers, maintaining inventory control for traceability, and ensuring accurate inventory and Accounts Receivable systems for monthly accounting reconciliation. The assistant will also approve invoices and manage payments for all logistics-related charges. The position requires creating and maintaining Excel production reports, collaborating with sales representatives and customers on shipment destinations and timings, and coordinating all inventory shipment bookings with continuous updates. Additional responsibilities include confirming offload tallies for payroll and inventory, issuing proper export documents in a timely manner, understanding labeling requirements for various countries, and verifying the accuracy and completeness of all shipping documents. The role also encompasses overseeing accurate customer billing, tracking open Accounts Receivable, monitoring freight movement, reconciling month-end inventory adjustments, approving AP invoices for freight and cold storage, and staying current with government reporting requirements related to production.
