About The Position

The Logistic & Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for managing reverse logistics operations across North America while ensuring purchasing coordination for developing product specifications, identifying suitable vendors, negotiating pricing, and monitoring supplier performance. This aspect of the position is to ensure that purchased goods meet technical, quality, and cost requirements while supporting the company’s operational and product development goals.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in international logistics, reverse logistics, and multi-site coordination
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to identify and develop vendors
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and development initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to "think outside the box" and develop creative solutions
  • Experience working with international teams and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities and take initiative
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in KPI development and performance monitoring
  • A BS or master’s degree in supply chain management, purchasing , or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain and logistics operations
  • Strong negotiating skills and understanding of contract.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo), BI, and AutoCAD
  • Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments
  • Occasional travel to coordinate with other facilities and suppliers (estimated 5-10%)

Responsibilities

  • Manage reverse logistics operations for pharmaceutical cold chain products across USA, Canada, and Mexico, coordinating with 3PL partners
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate partnerships with recovery service providers to optimize collection costs and reduce operational expenses
  • Oversee container tracking, documentation, and international shipping compliance including FDA regulatory requirements for cross-border pharmaceutical transport
  • Design optimal distribution strategies to position the isothermal packaging products at the right locations at the right time, minimizing transportation costs while maximizing service levels
  • Analyze market demand patterns and pharmaceutical customer requirements to optimize product allocation across North America
  • Coordinate with international teams (France, global sites) for worldwide logistics optimization and inventory balancing to prioritize recycling to minimize costs and environmental impact
  • Monitor and report on US operations KPIs and performance metrics
  • Conduct performance evaluations and negotiate service level agreements with 3PL
  • Negotiate cost-effective recovery partnerships and optimize collection routes to minimize reverse logistics expenses
  • Manage inventory optimization across multiple locations to reduce carrying costs
  • Develop and maintain logistics cost models and budget forecasts
  • Collaborate with engineering, R&D, or product teams to define detailed specifications for materials, components, or finished goods
  • Translate functional requirements into clear purchasing criteria
  • Research and evaluate potential suppliers based on capability, quality standards, and capacity
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Request and analyze quotations from multiple vendors
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to optimize cost and value
  • Draft and manage purchase agreements and long-term supply contracts
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, quality, and responsiveness
  • Address and resolve supplier issues, including delays, defects, or non-compliance
  • Maintain supplier scorecards and lead periodic performance reviews
  • Work closely with production, quality assurance, and logistics teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations
  • Support new product introductions by sourcing and qualifying new materials or suppliers
